Russell Berry is the only one-off victim that I actually feel sorry for. Usually, they're either rather uninteresting or bastards. But after hearing everything about what a great guy he was throughout the case, I am genuinely sad that he had to die.

But then I remember I'm getting emtional over a videogame character, and I go hiking.

So I'm at the end of the first day, and… I have no desire to finish this case. None. I was excited to play back through it, because I've never replayed this case. I think I know why now. I just have a really hard time finding this case compelling. Max is fabulous, of course, and I kind of like Moe despite my best efforts, but I could not give a shit about puppet marriage drama, especially when it all turns out to be a red herring anyway.

The only reason I have to play any farther is that the day two investigation is where you get the backstory on Edgeworth Choosing Death™. I was going to, but then the first person I met up with on the second day was Ben/Trilo, and I suddenly just couldn't be buggered. But in the end, I perservered.

I think part of my problem with this case stems from the fact that it's largely a one-shot case. You can say the same thing about The First Turnabout, and even The Lost Turnabout and Recipe for Turnabout, but the former two are very short, and I really liked the characters of the latter. I can't say either about Turnabout Big Top.

Oh well. Win some, lose some.

For some reason, I can't find a script of the rest of the case, and I haven't played it since the game came out, so I'm very short today. That being said-

This really wasn't one of my favourites either... I hate the aesthetics of the circus for a start, and I didn't like anyone but Max. Because of his connection to Patsy Stone. :D

Yeah, I couldn't get into any of the characters in that much. I know they're supposed to be silly and over the top but it's just not my favorite case at all.

(The puppet marriage thing was too creepy. And I have a very high tolerance for creepy these days.)
