My Journal is Called: "For art is a form of catharsis"- If you look on my layout, reading down the page (title, subtitle, links box), it's the second half of "Coda" by Dorothy Parker, which you can read in full on my info page. I think it's rather neat.

My Subtitle is: "And love is a permanent flop"

My Friends Page is Called: alternately, Harmony and Players. It goes with the whole Coda theme.

My Username is: the latest in a long string of pen names, and the one I have used for all but my very first fanfic. Sabine was the name I took my second year of high school French; "la grande" means "the great." Hence, Sabine LaGrande.

My Default Userpic is: one I'm quite proud of. The image is from the very beginning of the Cowboy Bebop movie (or the very end, I didn't cap it myself). It's a close up of a marble on a Chinese checkerboard. The text is from Edgar Allan Poe's "Dream Within a Dream", which I think fits in very well with the movie. I like it a whole lot.


I know it's been a while. It's been one hellaciously busy semester. I've got the whole week off for Thanksgiving, so I'm going to try to write while I'm at home. After that, a week of class, a week of exams, and then home for 6 weeks.


Status Report, 21 November 04

-Established Chapterfics
--The Late Spike Spiegel Blues is not intended to be finished, if anybody was wondering. It is at a logical pause right now, but there is more coming. Still a little confused on the story arc after this point, but the next chapter is more or less clear in my mind. Expect a chapter this week, but if not, expect one or more sometime after December 11.
--Master of What Is Mine Own is undergoing a massive rewrite, as I realized that the writing was actually very poor. The first chapter is good though. I like it. There will be some stylistic changes, as well as the addition and deletion of several scenes. Expect a revised version of Chapter 2 this week. Any work past that or any new chapters will probably wait until after Dec. 11.
-Challenges
--To luckiemonky, I still owe Draco/Filch. Since I've promised her this nearly 5 months ago, I'm going to try to write it either this week or early Christmas break. No promises.
--To shadowenmagic, I owe one, possibly two, Sirius/Lupin fics as well as a Vicious/Gren. Expect at least one of these this week, the rest early Christmas break, and the one with the deadline sometime before it. ::sigh::Lordhamercy. ETA: First challenge finished, 11/26
--To various users, I think I still owe a couple of drabbles from an icon challenge meme. I want to say it's arymabeth, beaux, and grimmy23. No promises, just know that I haven't forgotten.
-New Projects
--There is possibly a Bellatrix/Voldemort coming. V. squicky, and purposefully so. I like the idea, but I'm not sure that I can do it justice.
--An Evan Rosier fic has been in progress for some time. Not sure where it's going to go though, and I have a feeling that it might suck.
--For any of you that read "Querida", a follow up is highly likely.
--I've got some ideas for three Bebop one-shots, one Faye-centric, one Faye/Jet, and one Spike/Julia. I'll keep you posted.
